Historic Compound

Once you turn onto our private road, you feel like you are coming home. A historic homestead, lovingly restored and curated for guests who seek an authentic and elevated immersion in Santa Fe life and culture: two historic adobes and two Northern New Mexican farmhouses, set on two adjacent acres of natural and heritage gardens. The design and curation of each sanctuary come from three decades of Santa Fe living and collecting, and a lifetime of world travel. For those in the know, living on a dirt road is still a rite of passage for Santa Feans.

01

Los Santos

Old World, classic adobe Santa Fe. A cabinet of curiosities.

Sleeps 3 · 2 bedrooms · 1 bath (2nd bath coming soon!) · 1-acre compound and gardens · Central A/C · Fireplace · Firepit

Los Santos is the main home on the compound, a historic adobe behind Museum Hill. The history of the property dates way back: it was designated a Spanish land grant by Spain in 1745. We have a copy of a letter from the King of Spain, and the letterhead reads La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asís, the name the Spanish gave to Santa Fe when they arrived in the late 1500s. It is important to note that the Native Pueblo Tewa culture was here long before the Spanish, and they had their own name, Ogha P’o’oge, often translated as “White Shell Water Place.” The house keeps the proof in walls more than a foot thick, wood vigas overhead, and built-in bancos.

The thirty-foot covered portale expands the living space, with epic sunsets, outdoor living and dining, and a firepit. Private drive and parking, and a western exposure where you can see for miles!
