What our guests are saying
Wow! What can we say? We booked this beautiful retreat to stay during our wedding in Santa Fe.
The house was perfect! Spacious, extremely clean, and well appointed. I was able to host a few friends while I had my hair and makeup done, and they all commented on how gorgeous the space was. Kris is also very responsive, and incredibly sweet. We arrived to a house with wedding flowers and some treats from the host! Thank you Kris.
Beautiful piece of paradise in Santa Fe.
The space is absolutely gorgeous, serene, and an excellent space to recharge. The short drive into more urban parts of the city was super quick and easy and worth the peace and tranquility we experienced at the property. Our stay was beautiful and we look forward to a return visit!
The perfect oasis to rejuvenate. The space was plenty big for two people, couch and bed very comfortable, kitchen and laundry stocked, and the extra attention to detail when decorating made this place very special.
05The story
The story
Farmhouse 2 stands alone on its own acre, adjacent to the main compound, and is also part of the Spanish land grant of 1745. A beautiful open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living room, a spacious master bedroom, and a designated soaking room with glass doors, fenced for privacy.
The history of the property dates way back: it was designated a Spanish land grant by Spain in 1745. We have a copy of a letter from the King of Spain, and the letterhead reads La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asís, the name the Spanish gave to Santa Fe when they arrived in the late 1500s. It is important to note that the Native Pueblo Tewa culture was here long before the Spanish, and they had their own name, Ogha P’o’oge, often translated as “White Shell Water Place.”
The interior design is fresh, open, and light, and full of vintage and antique furnishings and accents. We adorn all of our houses with plants for breathability and crystals for good energy. There is a washer and dryer in the attached utility room, which guests are welcome to use. The portale is the perfect spot for waking up with stretching (we provide yoga mats) and, of course, your morning coffee. Don't be surprised to see lots of wildlife roaming through the property.
For a bespoke couples getaway or the ultimate single retreat, this is the profile of our guests.
“Each sanctuary has its own private outdoor living space to enjoy the flora and the wildlife.”
Kris, the creatress
